shipwrecks

My name is Johnny. I go to college and try to write songs about it. I'm currently reevaluating my life. I also like The Mountain Goats a lot more than the average person.

I went to an abandoned coal breaker in PA this weekend. It was at one time the largest in the world. This place was SO big and cool. I definitely want to go again sometime. Going down the conveyor was one of the most memorable urbexing experiences ever for me.

The photos here are t-max 400, tri-x 400, and provia 100f. My chemicals for the color stuff were dead so the colors came out pretty strange. It gave an interesting effect, though.

Here are some black & whites I processed in class today.

Danielle and I went to the Jacob Tome School for boys and explored almost every building on campus. Most of the the buildings were ultra-scary because of all the windows being boarded up, making the insides almost pitch black, but there was a nice serenity to the place. Since it’s so out of the way and hard to get to, there’s almost no graffiti. Going here, you’re basically able to see what nature has done to an old school over the years.

Oh yeah, we climbed all the way up the clock tower and got a beautiful view of the Susquehanna River!
